Today, 26 November 2020 members from both Solve Disability Solutions (formerly TADVIC) and TAD unanimously approved a merger between the two organisations.
Solve Disability Solutions and TAD have worked side-by-side across Victoria and NSW for over forty-five years. Our dedicated teams connect skilled volunteers and people living with disability to design and build custom assistive technologies to assist people in achieving their goals, enable greater independence and increased quality of life.
Going forward the two will work together to create a new organisation to increase operational capacity and a higher quality of services to communities across Victoria and NSW, aligning to the national NDIS model.
“With more than two million people living with disability across Victoria and New South Wales, the merger between Solve and TAD creates a huge opportunity for us, as one organisation, to build on our collective strengths and further progress our opportunities to improve, together.”
“Furthermore, this will enable our innovative volunteers and dedicated staff across both states to support more people with disability to live full and unencumbered lives.” Mark Howlett – Solve Disability Solutions Board President.
“We are absolutely thrilled to embark on a new chapter for TAD and Solve that builds on and celebrates our unique, shared heritage. Merging with Solve will allow our volunteers and staff to change the lives of even more people living with disabilities, supported by the National Disability Insurance Scheme.” Andrew Every – TAD Chair.
The two organisations will now embark on the administrative activities required to bring the merger into effect on 1st March 2021.
Both organisations will continue to operate under their existing operational models and names, delivering the same services and client experience as before.
The merger between Solve Disability Solutions and TAD creates an abundance of opportunities for the future of our business, staff, volunteers and most importantly, for people living with disability across Victoria and NSW.
