What does Solve do?

We are a not-for-profit organisation providing state-wide services and custom Assistive Technology (AT) solutions for:

  • people of all ages living with disability;
  • older people (over age 65);
  • people with chronic diseases such as diabetes and stroke;
  • people with neurodegenerative disease conditions including dementia and autism;
  • people with gradual functional decline;
  • families and carers for any of the above.

Our services include:

  • Specialised clinical assessment and technical advice from an Occupational Therapist (OT) regarding AT;
  • Designing and building custom AT otherwise commercially unavailable;
  • Modification to commercially available equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, walkers, and furniture);
  • Freedom Wheels Customised Bike Service.

With both metropolitan and regional Occupational Therapists and over 100 state-wide Technical Volunteers, we work with you, your family and other health professionals to help you achieve your goals and live without limits. Our experienced workforce will assess and address your goals, abilities and functionality to provide you with options for practical, cost-effective and appropriate AT solutions.

Accessing Solve Services

Solve services are available to you, your family and carers - we come to you!! 

You can access funding for AT services in a variety of ways: 

  • Medicare - Care Plan / GP Management Plan (including Occupational Therapy)
  • My Aged Care Plans (including Occupational Therapy)
  • NDIS Plan (including Occupational Therapy)
  • Private Extras Cover (including Occupational Therapy)
  • Self-funding (payment plans available)
  • Philanthropic Funding (program specific)

You do not need to be eligible or registered with the NDIS to access Solve services.
