Assistive Technology (AT) is any device or system that allows you to perform tasks you couldn’t otherwise do.  AT can increase the ease and safety for you to perform tasks.

Four steps to getting your AT with Solve

1. Review & Assessment

Your goals, environments and challenges will be reviewed by our therapy team to determine if it’s a project we can help you with. Your safety is our top priority. Depending on the complexity of your request, an initial therapy assessment may be required. Our state-wide outreach service will come to you!

2. Design and quoting

Our occupational therapist will work with volunteer with the appropriate skills to address your request. After working out a solution with you, and materials required, we will provide you with a quote prior to starting your project.

3. Quote accepted

You will receive a quote to assist you with securing funding from the NDIS, or other funding schemes. If you do not have access to funding a subsidised quote will be provided. Thanks to the generous support of grant funders, organisations and individual donors we are able to subsidise the cost of our service based on individual circumstance.

The price of your project request will depend on the complexity and the material required.

4. Test, deliver and achieve your goal!

Your Assistive Technology will be built and brought to you and your therapist for testing to make sure it meets with your requirements. Sometimes a prototype will be made for testing before the final product is delivered.

Once complete, you’ll be on your way to achieving your goals!

Your therapy team will offer you ongoing support and training, if required.
